A Meaningful New Addition to the “& Things” Side of Our Business
The “& Things” side of IV Bags & Things continues to grow, and this may be one of the most meaningful products I have created so far.
Our new Mini Pet Memorial Set was designed to give families a personal way to remember a beloved pet. Each set includes a small metal urn engraved with the pet’s name and a coordinating metal memorial card featuring a photograph of the pet.
The photo is permanently laser engraved into the metal, creating a keepsake that will not fade, peel, or wear away like a printed image.
Created From Your Pet’s Photograph
Every memorial set begins with a photograph provided by the customer.
I prepare the image for engraving, adjust the contrast and detail, and then laser engrave the portrait onto a black metal card. The engraving reveals the image in silver, creating a detailed and lasting representation of the pet.
The card can also include:
- The pet’s name
- Memorial dates
- A short remembrance message
- Paw prints, hearts, or other simple symbols
The miniature urn is engraved separately with the pet’s name and a small memorial design.
Because each photograph is different, every set requires individual preparation and attention. These are not mass-produced memorials. Each one is created specifically for the pet and family it represents.
A Small Memorial With Personal Meaning
Losing a pet can leave a tremendous absence in a home.
They become part of our daily routines, our family traditions, and the quiet moments of our lives. Their time with us may feel too short, but the memories they leave behind stay with us.
The Mini Pet Memorial Set was created as a compact keepsake that can be displayed beside a favorite photograph, placed on a memorial shelf, or kept somewhere private and meaningful.
It can also be given as a thoughtful sympathy gift to someone grieving the loss of a dog, cat, or other cherished companion.
Expanding What “& Things” Means
IV Bags & Things began with custom bags, accessories, and handmade designs. As we have added laser engraving to the business, the “& Things” portion has allowed me to explore a much wider range of personalized products.
For me, this part of the business is not only about creating more items to sell.
It is about using the equipment and skills we have developed to make pieces that recognize people, pets, milestones, and memories. Some projects are fun, some are decorative, and some carry a much deeper meaning.
This pet memorial set represents that more personal side of what I want “& Things” to become.
What Is Included
Each personalized Mini Pet Memorial Set includes:
- One miniature metal urn
- The pet’s name engraved on the urn
- One metal memorial card
- One pet photograph laser engraved onto the card
- Up to three lines of personalized memorial text
- A simple memorial symbol, such as a paw print or heart
Customers will need to provide one clear, high-resolution photograph. Photos with good lighting, visible facial details, and minimal background clutter generally produce the best engraving results.
Because each memorial is individually prepared and engraved, customers should allow approximately two weeks for completion.
A Lasting Tribute to a Beloved Companion
This first memorial set was created in memory of Letty.
Seeing her photograph appear permanently in the metal made the finished piece feel much more personal than a standard printed memorial. It became a small but lasting tribute to a life that mattered deeply to the people who loved her.
That is what I hope to create with every set.
Not simply an engraved product, but something that helps preserve the memory of a companion who will always remain part of the family.
